’Tis the season to be jolly! For the majority, being an expat in the UAE is the one thing that we all have in common. We have chosen to start new lives in a foreign country where in most cases this means not seeing our close ones as often as we wish. It was very rewarding to have the IGNITE team celebrate a Christmas gathering together. We played games, laughed and created some beautiful memories! For the third series running, the IGNITE team were out at the Dubai Tourism Happiness Camp spreading the winter cheer through fun activities. We were surrounded by the culture of the UAE with local cuisine, bedouin tents and wildlife. It was great to see everyone take part and embrace all that surrounded them. Once again we had he pleasure of working with the team from Smart Dubai, this time a different setting from the GOV Games, an IGNITE teambuilding. It was a first for us however also Smart Dubai to enjoy the green surrounding of Zabeel Park. Whilst conducting some of our traditional teambuilding activities we tested the team on some of IGNITE’s wood work games which will be launched officially in 2020. We had the pleasure of hosting the team from Summertown at RIVA Beach on one of the clearest days so far in Dubai this year (if you look closer you can even see the Burj Khalifa in the picture). It was such a pleasure to help them during their team building as they brought with them so much energy, which is always well received. They came in pre defined teams and designed t-shirts which added to creating a fun environment for all! Post the activities there were rewards and a delicious buffet for everyone.
We were honoured in holding the inauguration of the Waslympics 9th November at Emirates Golf Club following the philosophy of the Dubai Fitness Challenge. A tremendous effort was demonstrated by all the teams as they worked valiantly through the different fitness related activities striving to score the maximum points. It was our pleasure to host the team from Amlak Finance at Dukes Hotel as they celebrated Diwali and also their 19th Anniversary. The day started with team registrations and a march towards the beach with banging drums and ballistics beats. Mr. Arif Abdulla Alharmi Albastaki CEO Amlak Finance PJSC opened the IGNITE beach sports day with a speech and then we were off. Shooting, running, throwing, lifting, laughing, the Amlak Finance team did it all in style! The morning concluded with an awards ceremony, video presentations created by the teams and a delicious breakfast buffet. You can view some of the highlights here
